Terms and Conditions   (on Golf Central website)

 

Visitors are asked to respect the rules of the club. These are available on request. The following must be noted, in particular by any visitors to the club.

 

Course:

1. The rules of golf, as fixed from time to time by the Royal and Ancient Golf Club, St. Andrews, together with any Local rules additionally adopted by the Management Committee shall be the rules of play.

2. The Captain shall have the privilige of the First Tee at anytime.

3. Dogs shall not be permitted on the Course unless authorised by the Management Committee.

4. Balls must not be purchased on the course.

5. Players who do not start at the First Tee or its official equivalent, or do not play in strict numerical order of holes have no standing on the Course and must give way if delaying following games.

6. At all times, players who have fallen at least one hole clear behind must allow following players to go through.

 

Dress Rules & Use of Clubhouse

Members & visitors must not use the car park for changing clothing or shoes when the Clubhouse is open.

 

Collarless T-shirts, rugby shirts, denims, jeans, tracksuits, combat trousers/shorts and trainers are not acceptable dress in the Clubhouse or on the course.

 

On the course:

Collared shirt or polo-neck sweater and tailored trousers and golf type footwear are permitted. Shorts may be worn if they are tailored and are not more than 2” above the knee in length.  Shorts must be worn with either knee length socks, of any colour, or predominantly white short sports socks.

 

In the Clubhouse:

The minimum dress standard is smart casual wear throughout.  No hats or trainers are allowed.  Collar and tie after 8pm at weekends.

 

The Management reserve the right to refuse admission.  Anyone who does not comply with this rule may be asked to leave the course.  No refunds will be given to players who do not comply with these rules.

 

The use of Mobile phones is prohibited except in the locker room or hallway.

 

Insurance relating to any part of the premises:

1) The Club has no insurance covering personal property of Visitors. Visitors are advised to effect their own insurance.

2) The club has no insurance covering injury or damage caused by Members or Visitors to third parties or to property. Visitors must effect their own insurance to cover this risk.
